On November 28, 2020, the Eco Trust Society marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its 2020-2021 Executive Body. Departing from traditional methods, the elections embraced innovation by being conducted virtually through Zoom and Google Forms. The newly elected president, Stephane Dash-Alleyne, took charge, leading the ceremony where executive members pledged their commitment to uphold the constitution of the Eco Trust Society throughout the academic year of 2020-2021. This shift towards virtual proceedings demonstrates the organization's adaptability and determination to carry out its responsibilities even in challenging circumstances.

Getting to Know Some of the Executive Members:
President - Suphane Dash Allenyne: "I am a dedicated youth advocate, passionate environmentalist, and committed volunteer. My love for the environment intensifies daily, as I channel the majority of my time and energy into my environmental agenda. In Guyana, we are fortunate to have rich biodiversity, nutrient-rich soils, and flowing rivers. I firmly believe it is our duty to protect the environment at all costs, especially as it faces daily threats, primarily from climate change. Countries like Guyana are particularly vulnerable, and as youth, we must voice our concerns about the urgency of climate action and justice. We are the future leaders of our nation, and it is vital for Guyana to remain as beautiful as it is now."
Vice-President - Kwesi Roberts: "Taught to cherish the environment as a child, my understanding deepened as I learned about its intricate chemical, biological, and physical dynamics. However, the realization that humans exploit it for economic growth sparked my passion for environmental study, especially its intertwining factors of society and the economy."
Secretary - Kenita Roberts: "To me, the environment represents a space where we coexist with both living and non-living elements while partaking in activities that enhance our comfort. Unfortunately, some of these activities unintentionally harm our surroundings, and often, we find ourselves having to rectify the damage."
Assistant Secretary - Natoya Robinson: "My childhood love for nature grew stronger watching sunsets and sunrises. A documentary on global warming as a teenager sparked my commitment to environmental care. Our survival depends on prioritizing and preserving the environment since there's no planet B."
Treasurer - Jasmine Rodney: "The environment is life's main facilitator, providing the very air we breathe and the food we eat through natural processes. Yet, human intervention poses an indirect threat to life, demanding a collective effort for restoration. As we aspire for economic development, it's crucial to acknowledge the associated costs and establish sustainable ways of progress."
Assistant Treasurer - Annyssa Robinson: "I adore the environment as it resembles a boundless paradise, teeming with vibrant colors and diverse life. Recognizing that we are a part of, not separate from, the environment is the first step in caring for it. This perspective underscores that harming the environment ultimately affects us. Given that the environment provides essential elements for our survival—air, food, water—it's our responsibility to live sustainably, using resources wisely and minimizing negative impacts. In a world grappling with issues, I chose this field of study to contribute through education, awareness, and effective solutions, aiming to protect and preserve the environment."
